In its effort to enable companies to get involved with community engagement initiatives, Youthreach has worked closely with them to develop short and long term employee awareness programmes to promote the spirit of volunteerism amongst corporate employees.

Baxter’s employee awareness initiative
As part of Baxter’s employee awareness initiative, Youthreach organised a city walk around the area of Paharganj and the New Delhi Railway Station for the employees of Baxter which they thoroughly enjoyed.

Painting workshop
Youthreach organised a painting workshop for employees of DSM Pharmaceuticals Pvt.Ltd. who got together to paint the walls and kitchen of the Salaam Balaak Trust’s Arushi shelter home for girls with the children which they thoroughly enjoyed.

Photo exhibition
To spread awareness on the natural diminishing spaces in cities, Youthreach held a photo exhibition cum sale, showcasing images from its publication ‘The Secret Abode of Fireflies’ at the Dastkar Green Mela, Nature Bazaar – Kisan Haat .Posters and cards by eminent artists and photographers as well as our publications were attractively displayed for sale at the Youthreach stall. People from all walks of life attended the mela and showed great enthusiasm and appreciation for the work showcased.

Joy of Giving
This year Youthreach participated in the Joy of Giving week (Daan Utsav) wherein DT cinemas screened the film ‘I Am Kalam’ across 5 DT Cinemas in Delhi and one in Chandigarh. A number of children from our partner NGOs went for the film and loved the experience thoroughly.

World Health Week
Youthreach and PVR Nest collaborated on World Health Week to present a h programme that showcased the journey of children from vulnerable circumstances and extended sustained support of daily nutrition, healthcare, preschool education and ultimately their mainstreaming and rehabilitation. More than 300 people from all walksattended the morning programme at the PVR Cinema which was inaugurated by the Regional Representative of United Nation’s Office on Drugs and Crime.

Plantation drive
Youthreach in collaboration with Axis Bank conducted a sapling plantation drive on World Environment Day as an initiative for creating a better environment. More than 50 saplings of trees were planted in and around the PVR complex, Saket.
