A comprehensive needs-assessment was
conducted by Youthreach to assess the
critical requirements in the Begumpur
Khatola Village in Haryana, which is
close to the Sona Koyo Plant.
As an entry point to the community, it
was decided to work on education and
vocational training for the women. The
education programme seeks to ensure that
teachers placed in the schools will
provide quality education to the
children in the primary school.
Currently 2 teachers have been placed in
the local government school. For
enterprise development, a proposal to
start a waste paper recycling plant in
the village in being discussed.
