WORKFORCE READINESS PROGRAMME

Youthreach is implementing a pilot Life Skills programme in Delhi, India, in partnership with Standard Charted Global, International Youth Foundation and NAZ Foundation. The girls identified for this programme are the “Goal Champions” who have undergone basic life skills training through sports. The objective of the programme is to make the goal champions work ready by providing them key employability skills, to ensure that everyone is successfully placed in job, by the end of the programme. In addition to this, the programme has an element of mentorship, wherein these Goal Champions will get continuous support and guidance in first 2 months of employability from mentors. The programme has trained 37 girls in its first cohort of pilot phase and the 2nd cohort is due to begin in first week of May 2015.
